1- Western Digital Users Urged to Unplug Devices from Internet

Hard drive giant Western Digital is urging users of its MyBook Live brand of network storage drives to disconnect them from the Internet, warning that malicious hackers are remotely wiping the drives using a critical flaw that can be triggered by anyone who knows the Internet address of an affected device.

YouTube fans have been swindled out of almost $1 million (and counting) thanks to an extremely convincing fake SpaceX crypto-coin campaign that uses a popular decentralized finance protocol called Uniswap. The scam ads show up before and after videos about cryptocurrency.

3- 71% of Organizations Experienced BEC Attacks Last Year

Business email compromise (BEC) attacks are one of the most financially damaging cyber crimes and have been on the rise over the past year. Spoofed email accounts or websites were the most experienced form of a BEC attack as 71% of organizations acknowledged they had seen one over the past year. This is followed by spear-phishing (69%) and malware (24%).

4- Data of 500K Patients Stolen After Ransomware Attack

A ransomware attack on US-based Wolfe Eye Clinic earlier this year led to the access and possible theft of data belonging to 500,000 patients. While the initial cyberattack occurred in February, the complexity and scope of the incident were not determined until May 28.
